Boca Raton, FL, August 4, 2021 – Hidden Harbor Capital Partners (“HHCP” or the “Firm”), an operationally focused private equity firm specializing in control investments in lower middle market companies, announced today that it has made four new hires across its Business Development and Investment functions.

Business Development:

• Daphna Shamash as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing

Investment Team:

• Suzanne DeTore as Vice President
• Matthew Goracy as Vice President
• Matt Wash as Senior Associate

As Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Daphna will be responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and developing relationships with deal making constituents across the middle market. “Daphna’s track record of sales and marketing success in varying environments will be instrumental to our business development efforts and to increase visibility of Hidden Harbor,” said Christopher Paldino, Managing Partner of Hidden Harbor.

Prior to joining the firm, Daphna was the Head of Business Development and Director of Operations at Maximus Long Short Equity. Before Maximus, Daphna was the Director of Business Development at Healthy’s A Lifestyle, and previously held marketing and investor relations roles at Pine River Capital Management and Tudor Investment corporation. Daphna holds a BSBA in Entrepreneurship & Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis and an ALM in Finance from Harvard University Extension School.

As Vice Presidents on the Investment Team, Suzanne and Matthew will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring investments for Hidden Harbor. As a Senior Associate, Matt will be responsible for financial modeling, market analysis, due diligence and monitoring of portfolio companies. “We are extremely excited about the additions to our investment team as we continue to grow and scale the firm. Suzanne, Matthew Goracy, and Matt Wash bring a diverse but complementary set of experiences and investment acumen,” said Andrew Joy, Partner of Hidden Harbor.

Previously, Suzanne was a Senior Associate at Digital Alpha, a San Francisco based private equity firm. Before Digital Alpha, Suzanne was a Senior Associate at FFL Partners, Associate at Genstar Capital, and Investment Banking Analyst at J.P. Morgan. Suzanne holds a BA in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Previously, Matthew was Director of Strategy & Business Development at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. Before Southern Glazer’s, Matthew was a Managing Director at White Elm Capital, Director at Tourbillon Capital Partners, and Mergers & Acquisitions Associate at Lazard. Matthew holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Previously, Matt was a Senior Consultant at Monitor Deloitte. Before Monitor Deloitte, Matt was a Senior Client Advisor at SunGard Kiodex (now FIS Global). Matt holds a BBA in Finance and Economics from Villanova University and an MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Matt is a CFA Charterholder.
